Frequently Asked Questions

Networking:
The NWAAPM conducts two annual meetings (Spring and Fall) that offer opportunities for professional networking with others interested in medical physics in the Northwest area, as well with the sponsoring companies.

Exchange Information/Experience:
Through scientific and professional gatherings during the NWAAPM meetings.

Contribute:
Full members have the right to hold elective office, the right to vote, and the right to sit on committees.

Continuing Education:
Members may earn Continuing Education Credits by attending meetings and completing the evaluation afterward.

Nominations are held annually for the President, and every three years for the Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Representative. If you are interested in applying for a position please visit this page.

If you are interested in becoming more involved in the NWAAPM, you can:

Apply to become a chapter officer (see “How do I become an officer?” above)

Email nwaapm@gmail.com to volunteer as a non-officer to assist with chapter events and other chapter work.

Most members pay their dues online during their AAPM membership renewal period. If you would like to pay your NWAAPM dues, visit the main AAPM chapter homepage and login to your AAPM account.

The chapter conducts two annual meetings which are generally held in April/May and October/November of each calendar year. These meetings feature scientific and professional conferences with proffered and invited talks. The MedPhys SLAM and Early Career Investigator Symposium are held during our Spring meeting.
